Music at Westhampton

The music program is a ministry made up of individuals who enjoy singing, playing instruments and enhancing worship. The church is fortunate to have state-of-the-art instruments in its Allen electronic organ, the sanctuary grand piano, and 3 octaves of hand bells.

The various choirs are:

Chancel Choir: An intergenerational choir with rehearsals on Wednesday evenings at 7:30.

Handbell Choir: all ages can join and no music knowledge is necessary. Practices are on Wednesday evenings at 6:30.

Children’s Celebration Choir: Children ages 4 and up are welcome. Practices are scheduled seasonally.

Beyond other seasonal music throughout the year, the chancel choir provides cantatas for the Christmas and Easter seasons. At Thanksgiving, the chancel choir has joined with the chancel choirs of Westhampton Baptist Church and Monument Heights Baptist Church for a community Thanksgiving service. Other special music contributions come from small vocal groups in the choir and guest performers.
