Intergenerational Wednesday Evenings
Once a month, the Nurture Team (Congregational Care), sponsors an extremely popular Wednesday evening meal and intergenerational program. Past programs have included a talent show, instructional dancing, an evening with clowns, ice cream social, working our memories, local heroes, hobby night, an all-birthday celebration, and youth drama and worship. Donations for meals are received.
This is a specially popular event for guests.
New Member/ Seeker Classes
Meet seasonally to introduce new people to each other, the leadership of the church, the ministries and mission at Westhampton, and the history and theology of the United Methodist Church. These classes usually include 3 or 4 sessions that meet on Sunday mornings from 9:30 – 10:30 am prior to worship. Please contact Senior Pastor Rosemary Welch at (804) 288-4903 for more information.
Westhampton United Methodist Church Library
The Church Library, located on the ground floor of the Education Building, is furnished and equipped with works of fiction for both children and adults, reference works on world religions and on Methodism, United Methodist History, the Bible in many translations, Bible commentaries, laymen's Bible commentaries, the twelve volume Interpreter's Bible, and many other printed resources. In addition to the traditional library holdings, many photographs and church memorabilia are housed in the library. The library is open and staffed on Sunday's during Sunday School and Fellowship time. Please contact the church office at (804) 288-4903 for access at other times.
